2021-2022 Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
Reconciliation Australia has endorsed ENGIE Australia & New Zealand’s inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.
We have developed our Reflect RAP in consultation with local First Nations communities, our team members, customers and stakeholders to provide tangible actions that achieve our commitments to reconciliation in Australia.
Our key initiatives build on our existing First Nations partnerships and provide further opportunities to First Nations peoples and organisations that respect the communities and lands on which we operate.
ENGIE is committed to a just, equitable and reconciled Australia and recognises that we all have a role to play in achieving this vision.
Building better lives by energising people and communities.
At ENGIE, in everything we do every day, we aim to leave a positive impact on our customers, our communities and the environment.
Through our social procurement strategy, we positively engage with local suppliers, social enterprises targeting disadvantaged young people and people with disabilities, and Indigenous suppliers through our supply chain spend.
It’s an important step in our journey of delivering our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
Partnering with Indigenous suppliers.
We recognise the important role businesses must play in building respectful relationships to provide opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Indigenous-owned businesses are traditionally under-represented, and by proactively building mutually beneficial partnerships we’re contributing to lasting social and economic benefits.
A proud member of Supply Nation.
Since 2009, Supply Nation has connected Indigenous businesses with the procurement departments of government agencies and corporate Australia.
They are a leader in the global supplier diversity movement that redirects procurement spend to traditionally under-represented businesses where it can create greater social good and give businesses a strong competitive advantage.
Through our membership, we’re able to direct our purchasing to Indigenous-owned and operated businesses, providing positive social and economic benefits to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their families and communities.

We respect and honor Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands on which our sites are located and commit to building a brighter future together.
Muru Office Supplies
add addWe’ve appointed Muru Office Supplies as our office supplies partner.
Muru Office Supplies is one of Australia’s largest workplace supply companies, and they give 15% of profits to Indigenous community initiatives.
Our partnership will significantly bolster funds that Muru can disperse across projects covering a range of areas, including Indigenous education, environment, health and wellbeing. It will also enable Muru to employ at least two new full-time employees from the Indigenous community.
They’re an ideal supply partner for ENGIE across Australia, and the partnership underlines our ongoing commitment to social procurement and creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
YMCA ReBuild
add addWe’re working with YMCA ReBuild, a national services company.
ENGIE Australia & New Zealand is partnering with social enterprise YMCA ReBuild to give disadvantaged young people invaluable on-the-job experience.
The partnership, part of ENGIE’s diversity and inclusion strategy, has already seen YMCA ReBuild employees working at ENGIE sites at Hallam and Rialto.
YMCA ReBuild is a social enterprise that trains and employs disadvantaged young people who are at risk of being trapped in a cycle of crime and imprisonment. By supporting, training and employing young ex-offenders, YMCA ReBuild provides young people with a second chance.
