Key appointments support ENGIE’s hydrogen ambitions in Australia
ENGIE Australia & New Zealand has appointed Carlos Trench as Head of Hydrogen Projects, underlining the group’s commitment to establishing an industry-leading green hydrogen offering in Australia. ENGIE is uniquely placed to make green hydrogen adoption a reality, with a presence at each stage of the future hydrogen value chain from production, transportation and distribution, to end-uses including mobility, industry and energy storage.
The appointment of Mr Trench also marks the transition of the delivery of ENGIE’s Australian hydrogen projects to a local team, allowing them to be closer to customers and more agile in this new and rapidly changing market.
Through renewable energy generation assets, expertise in smart infrastructure, and battery storage projects – ENGIE is the energy partner of choice for businesses and organisations across Australia and New Zealand looking to adapt and contribute to the zero-carbon transition. Enabling these groups to leverage renewable green hydrogen is a natural next step in this journey.
ENGIE believes Australia is a perfect staging post for the creation and expansion of a world-first industrial-scale hydrogen economy geared for both internal consumption and export.
