In Australia, we’re working on a number of exciting projects from the City of Perth to the City of Hobart and an exciting development in Greater Springfield, Queensland. We have partnered with Greater Springfield to enable the city to become a leader in embracing technological solutions that create comfortable, safe and efficient environments for its residents. Together, we’ll invest in renewable energy generation and storage, infrastructure, district energy schemes, green mobility solutions, digital technology, energy efficiency initiatives and a dedicated research and innovation centre. By 2038, the six suburbs that make up the Greater Springfield community are intended to be generating more energy than they consume. In addition to being energy neutral, Greater Springfield will be generating and storing energy using leading green technology solutions. A key element of this solution is the use of hydrogen as an energy storage medium.
ENGIE’s newly commissioned Willogoleche Wind Farm and the opening of a nearby community hub have prompted a double celebration at Hallett on October 27.
