The Electricity Safety – Electric Line Clearance document defines the processes and procedures used to manage vegetation growing near overhead power lines under the control of ENGIE Hazelwood.
A helicopter will be used to spray weeds and vegetation in hard-to-access places inside the ENGIE Hazelwood Mine.
With demolition planning well underway, the community is invited to an information session to learn more about the Demolition Project.
Delta Group, a Victorian company with 40 years’ experience as a demolition contractor, has been awarded the contract to complete demolition activities at the site of the former Hazelwood Power Station and Mine.
During May the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Team will be hosting a series of engagement activities which the community are invited to attend.

Overburden removal ‘fleet’ comprising of 25-30 tonne dump trucks, excavators and auxiliary equipment such as water carts, graders, dozers and rollers have arrived at ENGIE Hazelwood in preparation for the Earthworks Season in the Mine. The site has been a hive of activity since closure of the operating Power Station and Mine. ENGIE Hazelwood senior management will provide an overview as well as an update on current and planned decommissioning and rehabilitation works for 2018 at a community information session to be held in March.
