ENGIE has a global vision of a future powered by renewable energy.
In addition to our two wind farms that we currently operate in South Australia, we are in the process of developing three large solar farms in Queensland and New South Wales.
One of these is the Warhook Solar Farm. It is located about nine kilometres north east of Miles (QLD) on roughly 1,200 hectares across three private rural properties.
Once operational, the farm will have a capacity of 200 megawatts and will use bi-facial solar photovoltaic panels to generate electricity. It will also include a step-up substation, site office and storage area.
Development approval was granted by the Western Downs Regional Council in August 2018 and we are currently progressing our grid connection process.
