ENGIE - a proud supporter of the upcoming FACCI breakfast with the Australian Ambassador for the Environment
The Paris Agreement sets in place a durable and dynamic framework for all countries to take climate action from 2020, building on existing international efforts in the period up to 2020. As part of this agreement, Australia is committed to taking strong domestic and international action on climate change and has set an ambitious target to reduce emissions by 26-28 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030. These targets, and their implementation in national policies, will have a significant impact on many sectors and above all the energy sector. With ENGIE’s support, the French Australian Chamber of Commerce will host a breakfast with Patrick Suckling, the Australian Ambassador for the Environment to answer some of these questions and share his experience representing Australia in developing the Paris Agreement.
