Our Executive Team

Shannon is Chief Executive Officer at ENGIE ANZ and also holds direct accountability for its retail business as Managing Director. Shannon joined ENGIE Retail (then Simply Energy) in 2010 developed a deep understanding of the industry through various operational and then senior leadership positions. 

Shannon is passionate about the unique role energy businesses play in the decarbonisation of our economy, customer participation in the energy transition, and how data and enabling technologies can deliver benefits in our pursuit of net-zero.  

Federico has more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector in Mexico, Argentina and Chile, where he held different positions in various businesses such as the Distribution and Transportation of Natural Gas; and in the electric market, both in Generation and Supply.

In 2008, Federico joined the ENGIE Group in his native Argentina as Manager in ENGIE Latin America and then was promoted to Senior Manager, where he was responsible for the accounting advisory and implementation for several LATAM operating companies, mainly in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Panama.

In 2014, he was assigned a new challenge as Vice President, coordinating the Finance involvement on investment projects, accounting advisory and internal control for the LATAM region. He had an active participation in several M&A projects.

In 2017, Federico expanded his international experience to Chile to occupy the position of Chief Financial Officer of ENGIE Services Chile, where he was responsible for the finance area of the company and the reorganization of controlling function at company level and its integration between finance and operations.

In 2020, ENGIE Mexico gave him a new assignment as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the financial area of more than 40 entities. He was also Board Member in Joint Ventures between ENGIE and partners (local and international).

Most recently in November 2024 Federico was appointed as Chief Financial Officer at ENGIE ANZ.

Federico studied Accounting and Business Management at School of Economics of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Laura Caspari is ENGIE in Australia’s Chief Renewables Officer. In this role she is responsible for leading ENGIE’s renewables business in Australia. 
 
Previously Laura was ENGIE North America’s Renewables Senior Vice President of Power Marketing and Commercial Strategy, leading ENGIE’s commercial teams in the U.S. and Canada. Laura’s team signed an industry leading 1.2GW of renewables PPAs in 2023. In 2022-2023 she was responsible for acquisitions of more than 10GW of renewables. Laura was featured in both the 2021 and 2022 “Top 100 North American Power List” by A Word About Wind. 
 
Laura joined ENGIE through the acquisition of SoCore Energy in 2015. While there Laura was honoured with several awards, including Midwest Energy’s “40 Under 40”.

Prior to ENGIE, Laura has held various roles in the U.S. including at Nordex USA. She began her career in her native Australia where she spent three years developing wind in western Victoria from 2006 – 2009. 

As Head of Energy Management & B2B, Buzby leads the team that links ENGIE’s portfolio to Australia’s energy markets, shaping commercial outcomes across electricity, gas and environmental products while delivering risk management solutions that help our clients and counterparties navigate the complexities of the energy transition.

With two decades in wholesale markets, he has built a career across trading & risk management, operations, analytics and technology, holding senior roles with some of Australia’s largest energy companies.  

Buzby holds a Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Information Systems from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. 

Andrea Bernard has extensive expertise in leadership both within the energy sector and other industries. Andrea joined ENGIE in 2019 and has held the roles of Chief Customer Officer Retail ANZ, and Managing Director ENGIE Digital in Paris, ENGIE’s group digital transformation accelerator. Andrea brings a passion for delivering a congruent, cost effective, and digitally enabled customer experience, along with a high performance culture within the teams she leads. She has proven experience championing new energy propositions for customers and ensuring that ENGIE’s global zero-carbon objectives are fundamental to the local strategy.

Niroshma Chetty has been appointed as the Managing Director, Generation Australia, following her tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of Avon and Dedisa Peaking Power at ENGIE in South Africa. She is also a non-executive director for Main Street 957, Mulilo BTE Prieska PV & Ramizone (Solar PV plants) in South Africa and as well as Oya Operations (hybrid).

Throughout her career, Ms. Chetty has demonstrated exceptional versatility, successfully navigating diverse domains, from spearheading start-ups and managing infrastructure project finance to developing and executing complex business cases.

Her strategic expertise has been pivotal in achieving financial closure for numerous construction projects, complemented by her strong capabilities in operations management. She brings extensive experience across the telecommunications and energy sectors, spanning renewable energy and thermal assets.

Ms. Chetty is a firm advocate for transformation, empowerment, and creating opportunities for exposure within the workplace. She believes that fostering awareness and inclusivity enables individuals to grow, build confidence, and make a meaningful impact on the world.

She holds a BCom, an LLB, and an MBA. 

Taneal leads the People and Culture function and is responsible for delivering key people programs, enabling high-performing teams, career development and talent succession, in addition to ENGIE’s Fifty-Fifty gender equity roadmap and wider diversity and inclusion strategy.

Taneal has more than 20 years’ experience in delivering people and culture strategies across shipping, mining, insurance, pharmaceutical and engineering sectors across APAC, the Americas, Europe and Africa.

Under Taneal’s leadership, the people and culture team is focused on cultivating a diverse and innovative workplace where customer-focused people are proud to work, feel they belong, and deliver ENGIE’s ambition of accelerating the transition to net zero.

Taneal holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) from Edith Cowan University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from RMIT.

In his role, Lawrence leads the Legal, Ethics and Corporate and Regulatory Affairs functions, including external communications, wholesale regulation and Corporate Social Responsibility. He is also responsible for managing the Hazelwood Rehabilitation Project, which involves the remediation of the former Hazelwood site into a safe, stable and sustainable final landform.  

Lawrence has more than 15 years of experience in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining ENGIE in 2010, Lawrence worked at top tier law firms in Melbourne and London, with a focus on corporate law, M&A and joint ventures.

Lawrence holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from Murdoch University and is qualified as a lawyer in Australia and the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute (now FINSIA) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Justin has more than 20 years’ experience across gas, electricity and carbon/renewable portfolios in the UK and Australia. With a passion for shaping the industry through times of change, he has held executive roles at large energy companies, where he demonstrated expertise in energy trading, portfolio management and team leadership.

Justin has a proven track record of building innovative energy portfolios and strategies to support business growth ambitions across generation and retail energy businesses.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Business and a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from RMIT and is an Australian Financial Markets Association Accredited Individual. Justin is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Matthieu Fedrigo brings nearly 20 years of experience in IT, digital transformation, and business systems across the ENGIE Group in Europe and Australia.

He is currently ENGIE AU's Chief Information Officer, where he is focused on accelerating the delivery of business goals through modern digital and IT systems that are aligned with ENGIE’s global Digital & IT strategy.

Matthieu began his career in 2006 at Electrabel as a Data Business Analyst, leading business intelligence projects across finance, procurement, production, and HR. 

He later transitioned into HR systems and performance management for ENGIE’s Energy Europe branch, before joining the Generation Europe business unit to lead Analytics, Digital, and ERP Systems—playing a key role in the digitalisation of power plant operations.

In 2020, Matthieu was appointed CIO of Tractebel Belgium, where he successfully modernised IT infrastructure and reconnected the digital roadmap with business strategy.

Matthieu holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons.
