ENGIE has been a major sponsor of the women’s tennis for over 27 years and for the sixth year running, we are the major sponsors of the French Open Tennis Tournament. Our partnerships demonstrate our commitment to co-creating solutions furthering the zero-carbon transition and promoting diversity of thought through energising people and communities.
Data, digital and technology leading the transition to zero-carbon
Since 2015, we have been ensuring the comfort of competitors and spectators through the supply of 100% renewable electricity and implementing service solutions that run on low carbon energy. This year, we are also the exclusive partner for all fixed and mobile smartphone charging terminals in the stadium and pioneering next-generation solar photovoltaic solutions on structures that are not traditionally solar compatible. The Roland-Garros tennis tournament will gather nearly 500,000 people and our ENGIE Services colleagues maintain the stadium’s technical installations, with a focus on air conditioning, ventilation and self-cooling systems. During the tournament, ENGIE’s employees are onsite 24 hours a day to ensure the comfort of competitors and spectators.

Our sponsorships and initiatives focus on using our global presence for positive influence and supporting events that resonate with people and communities.
