The closure and rehabilitation of the Hazelwood Power Station and Mine presents an unprecedented redevelopment opportunity with the potential to reinvigorate the Latrobe Valley and the wider region.
The Hazelwood Concept Master Plan has been commissioned by ENGIE Hazelwood to convey the extent of this opportunity and set out the future investment potential of the site, now and into the longer term.
The Concept Master Plan should be understood as an options paper, responding to detailed site constraints and potential economic opportunities, and building in flexibility to respond to the aspirations and goals of potential developers, investors and/ or government.
We consider the document as a starting point for future conversations with key partners and stakeholders, who will be critical players in delivering change at Hazelwood.
