Shannon Hyde appointed CEO of ENGIE AU

Canunda Wind Farm Set to Extend Operations Until 2035
We marked a milestone for our Canunda Wind Farm in South Australia, with our team celebrating its 20th birthday and a ten-year extension to its operations.
Commissioned in 2005, the 46MW Canunda Wind Farm is one of our oldest in Australia. We're thrilled to continue powering the grid with clean energy for the next decade, further supporting ENGIE's renewable energy goals.
Futureproofing our Pelican Point Power Station
Pelican Point Power Station has been an important asset to the South Australian energy grid for over twenty years. To help futureproof the plant, we recently partnered with GE Vernova to integrate new AEV technology into our existing gas turbines, enhancing operational flexibility.
First solar modules installed, and power modules arrive on the Goorambat East Solar Farm
Earlier this year, we kicked off the installation of our very first solar panels at the Goorambat East Solar Farm in Victoria! Once completed, the project will feature up to 500,000 Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels.
We were also very excited to see the delivery of two power transformers to the project, marking another important milestone in the construction phase of the project.
Upon completion, these transformers will play a crucial role in connecting the asset to Victoria’s transmission grid - and eventually supplying more renewable energy for Victoria.
A big thank you to the teams involved for their hard work in reaching these milestones.
We’re adding another battery offtake agreement to our portfolio thanks to our International Supply & Energy Management team in Australia.
The team has signed a second virtual battery offtake agreement with Neoen Australia relating to Stage 1 of its Western Downs Battery in Queensland.
This will add to our existing virtual battery capacity and help us to better support our customers by managing renewable energy intermittency and customer load.
